Some people are under the mistaken impression that in 1998 the Catholic Church apologized for its role in stoking the atmosphere of anti-Semitism which led to the Holocaust. A closer look at the Vatican ‘apology’ reveals that, far from accepting responsibility, the Church blatantly and unashamedly lied about its involvement in fostering the hostile atmosphere among the Catholic faithful in a transparent attempt to distance the institution from the horrific results of Hitler’s final solution.
